You have done it thousands of times, sitting in front of a TV and shouted answers to a TV game show. Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you will be on TV and one of the contestants of a game show? If you want to be on TV game shows, there are some things that you should consider.

The first thing you can do is to recognize that the odds as a contestant is probably the same as those of being a professional athlete, it is a bit overwhelming.  Keep in mind that all game shows have certain rules regarding who is eligible. Most require you to be at least 18 years old and US residents and will also need your social security number. There are also odd rules you have to comply.

Check out the show’s website and find out auditions. There are some shows that choose contestants from the audiences and you will need admission tickets beforehand. Being part of the studio audience could take long hours so you should be prepared for it. It is of vital importance to know the game show very well. Try to get a home version of the game and play until you gain skill.  During the interview, dress appropriately in comfortable clothing, speak clearly with enough loudness. If you are chosen as a player, read all regulations thoroughly and make sure to follow all instructions.
